October 19 - 22, 2010: Compass Security Hacking-Lab Security Hands-On Training at the it-sa in Nuremberg (Germany)
Only those who are acquainted with current attacking techniques and defence measures can efficiently and permanently protect themselves against hacker attacks. In order to understand how such scenarios work, Compass Security AG has developed a security lab, which is available for hands-on trainings. At the it-sa 2010 this lab will be at your disposal for two workshops focusing on Web application security.

What does an attack against Webservers or Web applications look like? How do the culprits act?
What counter measures prevent an attack?
The security lab is an interactive Hacking-Lab-infrastructure where such procedures are
simulated. You may thus test your know-how immediately in case studies. The tips and tricks of the
workshop instructors as well as brief theoretic modules will broaden your expert knowledge. Thus
you will be capable of understanding, thwarting and preventing attacks on your IT
infrastructure.
Combine your
it-sa visit
with a hands-on training in the Web Application Security Basic or Advanced seminar.
Lecturers
The workshops will be held by technically competent and motivated tutors (Security analysts)
of Compass Security AG. These will share their profound experience from practice (penetration
tests) with you. In order to avoid criminal acts during these "attacks", the live demonstrations
will be realistically reproduced in the totally isolated hacking lab environment.
The Hacking-Lab of Compass
As a special benefit the lab environment will be available online to the
participants even after the workshops. Situations which are often met in the digital crime scene
are reproduced under conditions close to practice. In the Hacking-Lab, a large number of cases from
various fields and IT platforms, such as Windows, Unix, network, malware, Web application and
encrypting, as well as a Web shop specially designed for the lab, are at your disposal as computer
puzzles.
