Compass organises Swiss Cyber Storm II

At the biggest European computer wargame participants can fight against cyber criminals. Together with HSR University of Applied Sciences Rapperswil, Compass organises "Swiss Cyber Storm II" on 18/19 April. There experts and computer cracks can face the challenge "Hack&Learn" and fight for the top rankings in the battle. At the same time the participants are going to learn attacking strategies used by hackers in order to hoist the attackers with their own petard. Interested persons also have the opportunity to observe the game of the protagonists as spectators.

A total of 25 selected wargames from different fields and platforms such as Windows, Unix, Network, Malware, Internet applications and encryption have been prepared. In addition a specially designed Web shop has been integrated into the concept. These technologies are based on the interactive Compass Hacking-Lab infrastructure.

Besides the playful aspect, Compass specialists and speakers of the HSR will comment in vivid presentations on questions such as: Why can hackers intrude into computer systems? How does safe E-banking work? How do I protect myself against current Viruses and Trojans? What is a Botnet? Why is the Firewall not the universal remedy when fighting computer crime? How safe are social networks?

The visit of Swiss Cyber Strom II is free of charge. For the active participation in the wargame a contribution of CHF 44.-- is due (T-Shirt, entrance fee). The ticket is valid for both days.
