New at Compass: "FileBox" as an Appliance

May 25, 2010;

With the FileBox appliance companies acquire a complete system which can be flexibly integrated into their own IT-infrastructure. The appliance can be brought into service without any software installation and does not require a long introduction period. An internal build-up of know-how is not necessary. Furthermore there is no additional maintenance effort for the company as updates for the appliance are automatically provided via the Internet. Consequently the operating system as well as the FileBox-software are always up-do-date. …

Strong data encryption with simple handling
Besides the simple, safe and cost effective data exchange the appliance offers further advantages and options. The user can e.g. access the data via Internet independent from place and time without renouncing on security. The authentication is made through user name/password and an SMS token and provides additional safety. Moreover the user has the opportunity to upload documents via the Internet into different FileBoxes and to assign individual access rights to each communication partner. The detailed audit-log enables the recording of uploads or downloads of files as well as amendments of the access rights. Thus an optimal management is assured.

Further features in an overview:
• FileBox available as an appliance
• Linux distribution as the basis
• E-Mail distribution via the company owned mail server
• SMS sending via external Web service
• Corporate Identity (CI) due to own branding
• FastExchange-function enables data exchange with persons without a FileBox-account (E-Mail with download-link and SMS-Token)
• Upload-notification by E-Mail or SMS
