Live-Hacking-Sessions at it-sa shed light on attacking scenarios on Smart phones

During their performance at this year's it-sa, Compass is focusing - amongst other topics - on mobile security. Many Smart phone users are not aware of the security risks of their permanent companions. iPhone, Blackberry, etc. are omnipresent, in particular because their variety of functions is steadily increasing and the field of everyday applications is getting more and more important. Also the border between private and commercial use is blurring. Not only contact data and appointments but also confidential messages, personal pictures or access data for bank accounts, etc. are stored. Any hacker who is technically adept is able to detect the location of the mobile phone, read foreign text messages, use it as a gateway and even eavesdrop on calls. 

Security expert Marco Di Filippo is going to explain the attacking various tactics of the hackers based on different scenarios and live demonstrations. Centre stages will take methods such as SAT (Application Toolkits), Early Media Attacks (dialling tones), Call-ID-Spoofing, tapping on messages, eavesdropping of calls and data (short messages, E-Mail), malware attacks as wells as Bluetooth and WLAN hacking. The discourse is complemented with experience reports from various field tests. 

The presentation is aimed at technical executives as well as managers and team leaders dealing with the application, administration and implementation of mobile services in enterprises. Further invited are users and employees who would like to obtain more information on the technical correlations of the mobile devices.
