CeBIT 2011: Compass demonstrates attacking scenarios on iPhone, Blackberry, etc.February 22, 2011;
"Mobile services under attack - how save are they?" According to this slogan, Compass Security AG provides a live insight into the security risks of mobile end devices at the CeBIT. ICT security expert, Marco Di Filippo, Regional Director Germany of Compass, takes on the role of the hacker and highlights the security gaps of iPhone, Blackberry, etc. On the CeBIT booths respectively forums of Funkschau, heise and the anti virus specialist McAfee he is going to sensitise the visitors for the attacking methods of the data spies. Many smart phone owners are not aware of the risks that modern mobile phones represent. They save e.g. sensitive data on their mobile phone and expose themselves to great danger. According to the "Study on the threat of smart phones" of the EU agency ENISA the hazards are especially linked to the loss of a device or the sale of it to a third party without deleting the private information beforehand.
