After completing his apprenticeship with UBS AG in information technology with a focus on system technology, Simon Egli worked for 2 years in the area of IT Security Risk Management also with UBS AG in Zurich. Parallel to his work he has studied IT at the University of Applied Science Zurich since autumn 2006. As of 01 November 2007, he started to work part-time for Compass Security AG as an IT security analyst.
